HEALTH AND WEALTH

By health we mean soundness of body nd freedom of body from disease.Health is often regarded swealth, hence the saying : "Health is Wealth". What is wealth? The common connotation of "wealth" is the possession of ample measure of any kind of things having a monetary value. If we want to maintain , we must have regular morning walk and always prefer a simple, clean and natural life. We should get up early in the morning with this we always remain healthy and cheerful .
Thus, health is very precious for human beings. It is essentiaal to possess good health in order to enjoy good things in life.That's why health has been said to be wealth. But in my openion the comparison is inappropriate since health is something more than wealth.Wealth can buy many things in life for us but it cannot buy health. A wealthy man can get anything with the power of his wealth except health and a healthy man can earn wealth by remain healthy.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF CO-EDUCATION

Co-education means that education in which boys and girls sit together in the same classes and read in a common school or college.Co-education is against the segregation of the male and female sexes.It was not encouraged and approved of in the past and is a gift of the modern times.It has originated in India due to western influence. In the past, there were separate schools and colleges for boys and girls .They were not allowed to mix because it was thought so and co- education is prevalent.The system of co-education  has advantages as well as disadvantages.
From the social standpoint co-education is good .Young boys and girls get an opportunity to mix and understand one another. In this way their inhibitions towards the opposite sex and shed and a healthy spirit of working is developed. Someof them choose their good life partners in the process and solve many social problems ;like incompatibility, dowry, etc..
It is disadvantageous since a lot of precious time is wasted by young boys and girls.They get busy in makinng themselves presentable to each other, bunking classes, going to clubs ,pictures , discos and so on .By all this their characters may get spoiled.

ABOUT STREET BEGGAR

                                                                                                                          Beggars are found almost everywhere in India Groups of beggars movein  about markets, railway stations, holy places and big cities. They never do any work at all . They are that types of parasites who suck others blood. Their clothes are torn and dirty .They present a horrible sight . They arouse our sympathy by clever methods and get money out of us. The foreigners who are generally free with their money give them enough to it .
They bring a bad name to India and parade its poverty  for all to see. In reality most of them are idlers . They refuse to do anything for their livelihood. Most of them are professional beggars.
Strangely enough , very few  beggars are found in  Europe or America , They are often see in  India , Pakistan , Iran and the Arab states . Hinduism and Islam both insist oo charity. Awrong sence of charity is the root cause of beggary.

AN INDIAN FARMER

The life of an Indian farmer is very hard . He works from morning till evening to make both ends meet. He works in his field s in severe cold as well  as in the heat of summer. He earns his bread with the sweat of his brow .He gets no comforts in his life. He has to lead his life in the most unhygienic surroundings in the villages.
A farmer gets up early in the morning before dawn . He goes to his fields with his bullocks and plough to do his work. Before the sun rises, he completes much of  his work . Probably he believes in thev policy of well begun in half done. He goes for work without caring for the weather.
Harvesting  time brings some joy in his dull and uninteresting life. These are the days when he reaps the fruits of his labour. He dances , enjoys himself by doing "Bhangra' and other types of dance.
In the evening he comes back home. The cool breeze dries up his sweat.Sometimes he does not come home . He stays in the field  to look after the hard earned wealth of crops. They are the one who give food to whole world  by this every one can say that the Indian farmers are suffer from such a hard life.

WHEN YOU ARE OLD........

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

THE PLACE OF WOMEN IN FREE INDIA

Women in remote past in india enjoyed full freedom and had equal rights with men .During the middle ages, due to Muslim and Moghul influence, they were kept in purdah and with in the four walls of the house. They were not given prorer education  and were treated almost likes slaves. They had no freedom,no rights and their most sacred duty was to obey blindly. During the british rule there was no change in their position .After independence, things have started changing but , in some respects, they are still regarded in the same old way. No one feels happy at the birth of the female child in the house. A daughter is still regarded as a burden as the parents will have to arrange for a big dowry at her marriage . After marriage they have to face all sorts of problems. Even educated and modernised husbands do not allow their wives as much freedom as they required.
Gradually the things are changing and improving. Women are given equal rights with men and they are started taking their due place in the society. In free India, they are marching ahead in the field of education and professional training . There is no distinction made in respect of the education of boys and girls .  No fields of education are taboo for women .They are being trained for medicine , engineering , technology, commerce, industry and for almost all other fields.
The constitution of  free India has given women equal rights of voting and fighting elections with men .This clearly shows that they are free to participate in political as well as social affairs of the country.
