A MORNING WALK KEEPS US HEALTHY.....

A morning walk showers blessings upon its undertakers. In the morning, Nature shows herself at her best. There is pleasent and cool atmosphere even in summers .Everything is calm and quite all around. The dew drops sparkling on the green grass and plants in parks and gardens soothe the eye with freshness. The trees standing on both sides of roads provide us with enough oxygen to energize our lungs. While taking a morning walk,we breath in unpolluted and wholesome air which helps us stay healthy and fit throughout the day.Brisk walking gives good exercise to our body and keeps us away from ailments.

RAINBOW

At the end of rain appears rainbow in the sky. It is a long and wide spectrum of seven colours forming a semi -circle going from one end of the earth to the other.Scientists say that when sunlight passes through a rarer medium to a denser medium, all the seven colours present in the white light form  a semi -circular rainbow. It is a popular belief that the appearance of a rainbow  after  the rain is an indication that from now onwards there will be no more rains. In hindi, it is called 'Indra Dhanush', who is supposed to be thegod of rain in hindu mythology. The rainbow not only appears to be miraculously beautiful but also wonderfully soothing to the eye. It also brings with it an assurance of relief from excessive rainfall.

MY MOTHERLAND

India is my country .I love it very much as it is my motherland ,i proud of being citizen of it. People from all over the world used to come here to study the indian culture and background.
India could not retain that glorious past and fell  on evil days, British looted and plundered it and made it a poor country .But it got its Independencein 1947 and it began to prosper again. The sacrifies of its great leaders brought about a radical change enabling it to prosper .The government of this country is elected by the people to work for their welfare. The citizens have equal rights irrespective of caste, creed and sex. There is freedom of speech, press and worship.  It is a country  inhabited by the poor .
Our country is alert in every sphere of life .The old system of education is also being changed. We belive in peace and live and let live.

GIRL CHILD

India is a country which is developing,
But there are things in which its lacking.
Even now in India, there are some places,
Where killing of girl child are common cases.
             I exactly don't know why,
Today also new - born girls die.
They kill them when they take birth,
Sying to world , girls are only dirt.
It is shameful and not right,
Because living is every child's right.
I dont't know why they want a boy,
When a girl can give  them same joy.

ONE MORNING............

Woke early one morning
the earth lay cool and still,
when suddenly a tiny bird,
perched on my window sill,
it sang a song so lovely,
so carefree and so gay,
that slowly all my troubles,
began to slip away,
it sang of far off places,
of laughter and of fun,
it seemed his very song,
brought out the morning sun,
I pulled back the covers,
and crept slowly out of bed,
and gently shut the window,
and crushed his freaking head,
I’m not a morning person

WHEN I AM DEAD, MY DEAREST

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

USES AND ABUSES OF MONEY

Everything in this world has its uses and abuses and money is no exception. For many peole ,money is every thing but for some money is not the end of life and it corrupts us. For still others money is a necessary evil. All this may be true but they do not present the balanced view of money which is most essential to know and consider. The authorised and legal currency of a country is usually termed as money . It has got great importance in the life of a country as well as an individual.Money has got purchasing power without which nothing can be done in life, it is required to buy commodities for our daily needs
The dark side of the picture involves abuse or misuse of money. The devotees of money forget that money is not everything in life,it has its own limitations.Money cannot buy education, as we spend lots and lots of money on books and engaging tutors for the education of children but this cannot do anything if children do not make any efforts because no injections of education are available in the market.
Money also leads to corruption, rich people think that they can get every work done with the power of money. They adopt illegal ways, pay bribes and hush money for getting their things done in offices and other places, So there are some uses and abuses of money.

KNOWLEDGE VERSUS WISDOM

Even learned people often confuse between knowledge and wisdom they regard them as the one and the same thing . But they are two things quite apart and quite different. Knowledge can be acquired but wisdom cannot.Knowledge can be gathered by reading books of great writers and scholars, but wisdom cannot be so acquired .It comes from within and is evolved from one's own experience and maturity .Through practice and  hardwork anyone can acquire  knowledge, but they cannot be made to acquire wisdom in this manner.
Knowledge may be acquired soon but wisdom takes its own time in coming. A man may have knowledge but it does not necessarily mean that he may also be wise. Knowledge may come through reading and perceiving but wisdom comes not through learningbut also through experience, good judgement, etc.
Wisdom lingers not only in coming but it lingers and stays for a very long time, knowledge may be present but it requires wisdom to recognise it .

HEALTH AND WEALTH

By health we mean soundness of body nd freedom of body from disease.Health is often regarded swealth, hence the saying : "Health is Wealth". What is wealth? The common connotation of "wealth" is the possession of ample measure of any kind of things having a monetary value. If we want to maintain , we must have regular morning walk and always prefer a simple, clean and natural life. We should get up early in the morning with this we always remain healthy and cheerful .
Thus, health is very precious for human beings. It is essentiaal to possess good health in order to enjoy good things in life. That's why health has been said to be wealth. But in my openion the comparison is inappropriate since health is something more than wealth.Wealth can buy many things in life for us but it cannot buy health. A wealthy man can get anything with the power of his wealth except health and a healthy man can earn wealth by remain healthy.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF CO-EDUCATION

Co-education means that education in which boys and girls sit together in the same classes and read in a common school or college.Co-education is against the segregation of the male and female sexes. It was not encouraged and approved of in the past and is a gift of the modern times. It has originated in India due to western influence. In the past, there were separate schools and colleges for boys and girls .They were not allowed to mix because it was thought so and co- education is prevalent. The system of co-education  has advantages as well as disadvantages.
From the social standpoint co-education is good .Young boys and girls get an opportunity to mix and understand one another. In this way their inhibitions towards the opposite sex and shed and a healthy spirit of working is developed. Someof them choose their good life partners in the process and solve many social problems ;like incompatibility, dowry, etc..
It is disadvantageous since a lot of precious time is wasted by young boys and girls. They get busy in makinng themselves presentable to each other, bunking classes, going to clubs ,pictures , discos and so on .By all this their characters may get spoiled.

ABOUT STREET BEGGAR

Beggars are found almost everywhere in India Groups of beggars movein  about markets, railway stations, holy places and big cities. They never do any work at all . They are that types of parasites who suck others blood. Their clothes are torn and dirty .They present a horrible sight . They arouse our sympathy by clever methods and get money out of us. The foreigners who are generally free with their money give them enough to it .
They bring a bad name to India and parade its poverty  for all to see. In reality most of them are idlers . They refuse to do anything for their livelihood. Most of them are professional beggars.
Strangely enough , very few  beggars are found in  Europe or America , They are often see in  India , Pakistan , Iran and the Arab states . Hinduism and Islam both insist oo charity. Awrong sence of charity is the root cause of beggary.

AN INDIAN FARMER

The life of an Indian farmer is very hard . He works from morning till evening to make both ends meet. He works in his field s in severe cold as well  as in the heat of summer. He earns his bread with the sweat of his brow .He gets no comforts in his life. He has to lead his life in the most unhygienic surroundings in the villages.
A farmer gets up early in the morning before dawn . He goes to his fields with his bullocks and plough to do his work. Before the sun rises, he completes much of  his work . Probably he believes in thev policy of well begun in half done. He goes for work without caring for the weather.
Harvesting  time brings some joy in his dull and uninteresting life. These are the days when he reaps the fruits of his labour. He dances , enjoys himself by doing "Bhangra' and other types of dance.
In the evening he comes back home. The cool breeze dries up his sweat.Sometimes he does not come home . He stays in the field  to look after the hard earned wealth of crops. They are the one who give food to whole world  by this every one can say that the Indian farmers are suffer from such a hard life.

WHEN YOU ARE OLD........

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

ROLE OF NEWSPAPERS IN INDIA

The newspaper is the watchdog of human rights. It has dispelled darkness of the middle ages and uprooted the feudral system. The word news is an amalgamof four letters  N, E, W and S  which stand for north, east, west and south respectively. This is because the newspaper covers all the four directions to bring each and every news.

THE PLACE OF WOMEN IN FREE INDIA

Women in remote past in india enjoyed full freedom and had equal rights with men .During the middle ages, due to Muslim and Moghul influence, they were kept in purdah and with in the four walls of the house. They were not given prorer education  and were treated almost likes slaves. They had no freedom,no rights and their most sacred duty was to obey blindly. During the british rule there was no change in their position .After independence, things have started changing but , in some respects, they are still regarded in the same old way. No one feels happy at the birth of the female child in the house. A daughter is still regarded as a burden as the parents will have to arrange for a big dowry at her marriage . After marriage they have to face all sorts of problems. Even educated and modernised husbands do not allow their wives as much freedom as they required.
Gradually the things are changing and improving. Women are given equal rights with men and they are started taking their due place in the society. In free India, they are marching ahead in the field of education and professional training . There is no distinction made in respect of the education of boys and girls .  No fields of education are taboo for women .They are being trained for medicine , engineering , technology, commerce, industry and for almost all other fields.
The constitution of  free India has given women equal rights of voting and fighting elections with men .This clearly shows that they are free to participate in political as well as social affairs of the country.

Reckless driving thrills but kills

Driving is a pleasure, but reckless driving is a killer.Speed thrills but it kills. But who cares? Today our roads are fast becoming a theater of madening public behaviours with motorists becoming more and more intolerant and reckless. A number of accidents occurs daily and this number is increasing everyday. Most of the drivers of trucks and buses drive under the influence of liquor, especially at night. Car drivers also do not lag behind. Consequently there is a spurt in accidents, which would have beeen avoided , had the driver been sober. In these accidents hundreds of people die everyday---Mothers lose their sons, sisters lose their brothers and wives their husbands. Hundred of students become orphans. But nobody pays attention to this tragic reality. And as for the cops, it is an everyday affair . The government  should act tough  in this  and take effective measures to control reckless driving. Those who drive their vechiles recklessly should be caught and put behind bars. The drivers should be taught the value  of human life . They should be made to respect the rules of the road. All  vechicles must be periodically checked for their road worthiness.

IMPORTANCE OF PRAYERS

Prayers is not something we demand or ask from God .Prayer is a way of communicating with God by expressing  what is within one's heart and talking to Him about it. Through prayers, God comes to know how much you love him .If you are just asking for your desires in the prayers, it does not show your love for God .We should pray everyday to thank God for the wonderful life given to us by him. We should look at all the positive things in our lifeand not crib about the negative side. When God sees that the prayer offered by the devotee is full of love and faith,He too will take care of him/ her.
So, take time out from your busy schedule, and for a while pray to God.

MYSTERY OF HISTORY.....................................

Whenever i open my History Book.
It changes my fece's look.
There are so many dates to remember .
One died in May;and one in December.
When was the battle of panipat faught?
In which class was it taught?
When was India under British rule?
Where whites smart and Indian's fools?
By whom was the peacock throne taken?
And the whole empire shaken.
Who was the prehistoric man ?
Mystery teaches us many things.
Knowledge about past, it surely brings,
Though the subject Mystery tells us tales of yore,
But good marks in it we score...

ROLE OF TELEVISION IN EDUCATION

The invention of Television is a wonderful  thing in the world of science. It is a source through which distant and obscure things can be seen by man sitting in his room. Television came to India in 1955 .
\                      Television, when it was introduced ws used for recreation and amusement.Later on it was introduced in education. Education  does not necessarily mean the dealing of cources and text bookss of the classes . Education means general aspet of education on various topics-the knowledge which cannot he imparted through books.
The farmers have been greatly benefitted by the Television programmes which give them information about various aspect of cultivation, seeds, farming, plantation etc.It is also a part of education.
It is T.V which has bought knowledge to the youngest generation. The knowledge of a child of today is far more superior to that of a child of ten years or twenty ago a child who does not have the facility of T.V.
Thus T.V plays a very important role in education not only of the child but also for the grown ups in the socirty.
